Xero Roadshow 2023 quiz competition

Prize competition terms and conditions

1. The Xero Roadshow 2023 quiz competition (the Roadshow Competition) is run by Xero Australia Pty Limited (ABN 89 124 215 247), with its registered office at 260 Burwood Road, Hawthorn, Melbourne VIC 3122 (Xero), and each separate competition is open from the start and finish times of the Wrap Up Session at each of the respective in-person 2023 Xero Roadshow Australia events (Event) as set out in Schedule 2 (the Competition Period). Xero may extend, cancel or amend this Roadshow Competition and/or review and update these terms and conditions on its website at any time, at its sole discretion.

2. To be eligible to enter the Roadshow Competition (Eligible Entrant), entrants must: (a) be a Xero Accounting or Bookkeeping Partner; and (b) be a registered 2023 Roadshow Australia delegate.

3. Xero employees and their immediate family are not eligible to enter the Roadshow Competition.

4. In order to enter the Roadshow Competition, an Eligible Entrant must attend the Wrap Up Session at the Event and complete the online MentiMeter quiz, the link for which will be made available during the Wrap Up Session (Wrap Up Quiz). Eligible Entrants must also have a device and access to the internet in order to enter the Competition.

5. The Roadshow Competition has a limit of one entry per Eligible Entrant for the entire Event series.

6. Each prize consists of one (1) Silver Apple iPad 10.9 Inch Wi-Fi 64GB (10th Gen), with an estimated total value of AUD$747 (each a Prize, and collectively the Prizes).

7. The number of Prizes available to be won at each Event is set out in Schedule 1. In total, there are seventeen (17) Prizes available to be won across all the Events. The Prize winners will be determined by the Eligible Entrant that receives the highest score on the Wrap Up Quiz (the Winner). The number of potential winners at each Event is one (1). The Winner will be announced at the Event, upon the completion of the Wrap Up Session.

8. In order to claim their Prize, a Winner must present themselves to the MC at the end of the Wrap Up Session and provide the MC with: (a) their unique Wrap up Quiz code on their device; and (b) their phone number and email address.

9. In order to receive their Prize, the Winner will be required to reply to Xero via email, confirming the Winner's e-mail address. The Prize will be sent to the Winners chosen postal delivery address as provided to Xero by the Winner. If we have made a reasonable attempt to contact a Winner, and a Winner has not responded within three (7) business days, or a Winner is unable to use the Prize, the Prize will be forfeited. Xero reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, select an alternate Winner in the event that any potential winner forfeits their Prize or fails to comply with the Terms. In the event of any dispute, Xero’s decision is final.

10. Names of the Winners will be published on xero.com/au/events/roadshow-australia on 10 March 2023.

11. Xero does not warrant that the Prize will meet the Winners’ requirements or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. To avoid doubt, all implied conditions or warranties are excluded in so far as is permitted by law, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose.

12. The Prize is non-refundable, cannot be transferred to others, on-sold, or exchanged for cash or other benefits, and cannot be split. No Prize substitutions, except by Xero, who reserves the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the Prize is not available for any reason as determined by Xero in its sole discretion.

13. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xero and its affiliated companies shall not be liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence), for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss), or for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Roadshow Competition.

14. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to participate in any publicity related to their Prize, and that Xero can use the Winners’ likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording) in any media for an unlimited period of time without payment, to promote Xero and any of its other products.

15. By participating in the Roadshow Competition and by submitting any contact details, each Participant consents to receive the latest news, special offers, promotions and information from Xero by email, TXT or other channels from time to time. If at any stage you do not want to receive this information then please let us know, or use the ‘unsubscribe’ feature on communications we send you.

16. The Winner agrees that Xero may withdraw the Winner’s right to their Prize if:

1. Xero’s name is, or is likely to be in Xero’s reasonable opinion, damaged or brought into disrepute or ridicule by the Winner or by being associated with the Winner; or
2. The Winner is involved directly or indirectly in any situation (whether the relevant situation occurred before, during or after the Competition Period) which brings, or in the reasonable opinion of Xero is likely to bring, any of the Winner, Xero or the Roadshow Competition into disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule.

17. All use of Xero’s services is subject to Xero’s Terms of Use. Any personal information which we collect from you can be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

18. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of State of Victoria, Australia.
